From Friday 30th September to Sunday 2nd October Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre will be the hot spot of visual arts. The relaxed and easy atmosphere in the D-building invites also families to the world of visual arts. The first Tampere Art Fair will show Finnish art and artists in all colors of the palette.

The Art Lending Service of the Tampere Artists’ Association will be at the Fair with its 14 artists. You will find the member artists of the Association also being interviewed, demonstrating how they do art and their works, in turn, in the Sculpture Street and the Art Jury.

The national Young Artist of the Year 2012 will be also published at Tampere Art Fair. The purpose of the selection of the artist and the exhibition process is to present young, talented artists and to draw attention to the new Finnish art and its phenomena. The Young Artist of the Year receives a grant of about 20 000 EUR and the opportunity to hold an exhibition at the Tampere Art Museum.

The program at the Fair is interesting, e.g.  Arteles Global Art Forum – Artist between art and the market -discussion, Pure Art performance by Helinä Hukkataival and interviews of visual artists.

With the same ticket you will get entrance to ASTA Home -fair, which is held in another building at the Exhibition Center.
