Tampere Artists’ Association rents accommodation and work facilities for visiting artists at Takahuhti Artcenter (address: Kirjavaisenkatu 17, Tampere), about 5 km to the east of Tampere city center. Takahuhti Artcenter houses also work and storage spaces for twenty professional artists of Tampere Artists’ Association.

The work studio is a spacious and airy 40 sqms of open space with a table and an easel. Living quarters contain three rooms. One room is an open hallway with an alcove with a double bed and a closet. Entry to toilet is from this room.  One room is a bedroom with a single bed. Separate kitchen is with a table and chairs, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, coffeemaker, electric kettle and dishes. Shower room is elsewhere in the building. The rental includes wireless internet access. 

Rent (from 2024 onwards) for the studio and apartment together: 504 €/month (1 person) and 546 €/month (2-3 people), 315 €/2 weeks. A reservation fee of 100 € will be invoiced after the reservation of renting periods of one month or more. In case of cancellation, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

How to get there by public transport

The bus lines 6, 28, 29, 38 and 90 from the centre stop within 500 meters from the residence (bus stop ”Irjalankatu”). Tramline 1 + change into bus 16 brings you closest to the residence. Tramline 1 + change into bus 17 or 18 brings you to bus stop ”Irjalankatu”. For more information of the routes: Tampere Regional Transport
